Exhibition
The New England Institute of Education Art Gallery, The Highland Arts Center, is constructed to deliver an educational space to develop, sustain, and promote an artist centered artistic community. The gallery encourages experimentation through the presentation of new works by emerging and established artists as well as provides outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative programs in the arts. The Gallery is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of Cumberland County, the state of Maine, and the New England region.
Our exhibitions reflect current contemporary issues and practices in the visual arts. The North gallery space of 1200 sq. ft. features contemporary artists working in a wide range of media. The East wing of the gallery features experimental art including Sound and New Media installations. Student exhibitions are proposed and scheduled by the Art Gallery director each semester.
