Highland Art Center
The New England Institute of Education Art Gallery, Highland Art Center, is constructed to deliver an educational art space to develop, sustain, and promote an artist and educational centered artistic community. The gallery encourages experimentation through the presentation of new works by emerging and established artists as well as provides outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative programs in the arts.
Our exhibitions reflect current contemporary issues and practices in the visual arts. The North gallery space of 1200 sq. ft. features contemporary artists working in a wide range of media, so as traditional material in creative concepts. The East wing of the gallery features experimental art including Sound and New Media installations. Our student exhibitions also scheduled, as well as, curated by the art gallery director each semester.
The Highland Art Gallery's "Lecture Series" highlights classical, contemporary and current artistic movements , as well as, new research by the Gallery's special guests. Also, The art gallery's educational auction program and collections are also tasked with ensuring the viability and quality of NEIE’s educational programs, as well as professional presence.
The Highland Art Center also offers Internship Program. Students from other institutions may request school credits and work with the gallery for professional gallery experience.
