NEW ENGLAND INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION
​Mission Statement

The Department of Fine Arts serves as a catalyst for students to realize their creative potential by providing a personalized and rigorous learning environment, fostering experiential education and contributing to the cultural enrichment of a global society.    The department of  Fine Arts and its mission statement, promotes excellence in creation and creativity, understanding, appreciation of, and education in the visual arts. Through a comprehensive curriculum in studio art that including the fine of the Ceramics, Design, Film, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, as well as, Art History. Our students are provided with the essential elements of a visual arts educational curriculum  in an environment that is responsive, critical, and challenging. Along with its primary mission to its students, the Department contributes to the aesthetic and cultural atmosphere of the campus, community, region, and state.

Our Strategic Goal
    1.  ​​​​Cultivate in all NEIE students, an appreciation for the value of the performing and visual arts  
    2.  Promote positive  learning environments for our students as they seek to develop a life-long commitment to the arts. 
    3.  Offer curriculum that meets or exceeds national standards which includes experiential programming giving students opportunities
          to develop as artists, educators, scholars and arts leaders
    4.  Create events to enrich the quality of life on the campus, in the community, and extending to the national and international arena
    5.  Empower and support our faculty and staff as superior  educators, mentors, artists, scholars and          
         administrators who engage student learning as part of a collaborative, academic and artistic process
    6.  Contribute to students’ development as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in a global community    
    7. Our mission and strategic goals focus on making the arts a vital, visible, accessible, innovative, and integral part of the intellectual                           and cultural expression.
