Sculpture
The Sculpture Program at the New England Institute of Education provides an environment that encourages and prepares students to develop as artists for their professional opportunities in the field of contemporary sculpture. The program commits to cultivate an open-minded and diverse experience conversation for students, while maintaining high standards for personal artistic achievement.
The objective of the sculpture program is to offer students in the balance of technical and conceptual practices that are at the core of our curriculum. It is important for the students to be proficient in a wide range of materials as concept, and techniques to solve problems as their personal and artistic visual language. Embracing the interdisciplinary nature of sculpture and fostering exploration of new media, performance, and installation.
Students will be well versed in contemporary issues and theory related to art making, as well as, the historical contributions of other artists and institutions, so as having the skills, knowledge, and confidence for their professional career.
